ANDREW

Andrew joined as an eighth-grader. He has always been interested in the engineering process of designing a robot and is really excited to be a member of Robocubs Robotics. Although he has never been in a VEX Robotics competition before, he is eager to take up the challenge and to learn new things in the process. His hobbies include building and creating his own props out of cardboard and paper and putting together LEGO sets in his free time. Andrew also enjoys going on trips with his Boy Scout troop, playing basketball, and watching Star Wars. 

OWEN

Owen is interested and spends lots of time in robotics because he enjoys seeing inanimate objects sort of “coming to life” and he also likes programming the robot to intelligently complete challenging tasks. Furthermore, he finds designing and building fun and enjoys challenges. Over his years competing in VEX Robotics, he has not only expanded his knowledge in the technical aspects of robotics but also honed his communication skills throughparticipating in competitions. He particularly enjoys exploring the practical applications of the knowledge gained from VEX to real-world engineering solutions. Outside of robotics, Owen enjoys playing the violin and sailing.

AMY

Amy joined as a sophomore. She enjoyed designing and prototyping robots suited for competition, as well as using the concepts she learned to real-life applications. Apart from robotics, Amy is an avid bass clarinetist and pianist. She is also the publicity coordinator for her high school's Interact club, where she helps organize local community service events for her peers. In her free time, Amy enjoys watching Marvel movies, baking, and listening to musicals. 

ETHAN

Ethan joined as a 8-th grader. He has been interested in building and robotics for years. When he was little, he built and played around with Lego Mindstorms. In 2016, Ethan competed in the First Lego League with the school team. In 2019, Owen and Ethan competed in Vex IQ. Ethan enjoys robotics primarily because of the building; a robot can never be perfect, so a builder must try and perfect the robot to the best of their ability. Aside from robotics, his other hobbies include basketball and math.
